do I care for my wood floor?
Thanks to new finishes and floor manufacturing advances, today's
wood flooring is easy to maintain and care for.
Weekly - Vacuum or sweep your floor. Small
stones and gritty dirt will scratch the floor quickly. (Always
keep door mats or rugs close to doorway.)
Monthly - Clean the floor with a dampened
sponge and a manufacturer's recommended cleaner, and follow
up with a dry terry cloth towel.
Yearly or when needed - When cleaning no
longer restores shine and/or floors have been greatly used,
re-coat the floor with a surface finish.
General Maintenance - Clean spills right
away with a damp cloth or paper towel.
